Enjoyed your perspective, Alexander. I for one prefer keeping the scope of my thoughts and discussions to what I honestly know (the scope of which is not much). And I share your distrust towards pretentious know-it-alls.

But then there are people out there who take a genuine interest in the larger scheme of things and try to decipher the puzzles of politics and propaganda. I have immense respect for them. If we all choose to turn a blind eye to anything that is beyond our immediate reach, we leave us all the more vulnerable to the manipulation by different parties. And that, as per me, is not good.
